A painting exhibition has been organized by Shivata Love Foundation with the support of the Indian Embassy and BP Koirala India-Nepal Foundation on the occasion of the 152nd Gandhi Jayanti.
Namgya C Khampa, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Kathmandu on Saturday inaugurated the art exhibition titled 'Mahatma Gandhi's Principles for a Better World' at the Nepal Art Council, Baber Mahal.

A total of 22 paintings by 22 artists are on display where they will be at the collection of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.
According to the President of Shivata Love Foundation ( SLFN), artist Ragini Upadhyay Grela, Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated as part of the 'Festival of Independence' organized by the Government of India to commemorate the 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of the people, culture and achievements of India. She added, “The exhibition aims to promote Gandhi’s philosophy of peace and nonviolence.”
Meanwhile, SLFN handed over the admission letter to two Nepali students - Madhu Adhikari and Suman Kadel - for Suzhou Art & Design Technology Institute, Suzhou; China Scholarship for four years Diploma course.
This is the second time where two Nepali students got scholarships for Suzhou Art & Design Technology Institute, Suzhou, China through SLFN.
The exhibition continues till October 8.
