KATHMANDU, June 18: The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has initiated the removal of structures in the Tilganga area. The land, acquired in 2007 for the master plan of the fund, remains occupied, prompting the PADT to take action.

On June 15, the PADT issued a notice instructing the removal of these structures within 15 days. The notice warned that if the structures were not removed within the specified timeframe, the PADT would undertake the removal themselves.

According to the PADT master plan, the land acquisition was decided on August 22, 2012. Following the decision, the PADT began compensation distribution on June 13, 2013. Despite a 35-day notice published on July 4, 2020, the area remains occupied. This recent notice is PADT's second attempt to clear the acquired land
