The parliamentary panel has also said after studying the documents it would decide on the further course of investigation into the allegations that Nepali officials unfairly awarded the contract to the Australian notes printing company.
The low quality polymer notes of Rs 10 domination first came into circulation in Nepal in 2002. The media has reported that the Australian printer procured the printing contract by bribing Nepali politicians and central bank officials.
Saying that the issue could undermine the images of both Nepal and Australian governments, lawmaker and PAC member Rajendra Khetan has demanded a probe into the allegations.
