Over 100 families are facing displacement due to the flooding. Ten people from the Majhi community who were living on the bank of the river managed to save their lives by climbing in trees. Police have been trying to rescue them.
District police office said the flood will not subside unless the door of the Mirmi section of the reservoir is not opened.
Shaligram Higher Secondary School and the famous Shaligram Shila have also been flooded. The same flood had inundated 10 houses in Pidikhola VDC of neighboring Syangja district.
