KATHMANDU, May 5: More than 10 million passengers have taken services from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) over the past year.
In the year 2081 BS, a total of 12.94 million passengers traveled through TIA including both domestic and international flights.
Deadly lapse at TIA
According to the TIA office, the highest number of passengers was recorded in the month of Kartik (mid-October to mid-November). During this month alone, 1.28 million passengers used the TIA's services. Due to the tourist season and festivals, there were 3,281 international and 12,114 domestic flight movements in Kartik.
Overall, 4.93 million passengers traveled on international flights through 35,389 flight movements, while 5.36 million passengers used domestic flights, which saw 112,708 flight movements.
