The company on Sunday introduced Optima Smart OPS 60 smartphone and OPT 400, Optima Wtab and Vtab tablet PCs in Nepal.
According to Dipak Kumar Bhujel, managing director of the company, said the new brand of smartphones and tablets have been launched in Nepal to cater to the growing demand for these gadgets. “Optima Smart is an established Indian brand which is available in 12 countries of the world. OPS 60 is a 4.6-inch phone with 1 GHz processor and Android 4.0 Jelly Bean operating system. It has 256 MB RAM and internal memory of 512 MB which can be expanded up to 32 GB via micro SD card. The phone sports a 5 mega pixels rear camera and VGA camera in the front for video calling. It is available in the market at Rs 13,900.
Similarly, Optima OPT 400, which is also known as Lap Tab, is a laptop cum tablet. Bhujel claims that this product is a first of its kind in Nepal. He further added that he was hopeful that the new product, which is available at affordable price, will be popular among Nepalis. The 9.7-inch OPT 400 uses 1.5 GHz processor and is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB. It sports a 2 mega pixels rear camera and 0.3 mega pixels front camera and uses 7,000 mAh battery.
OPT 400 is available at Rs 28, 900. The company also provides wireless products free with every Lap Tab.
Likewise, Optima Wtab boasts 7-inch WVGA display with 1.5 GHz processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The tablet, which does not support voice telephony, has 512 MB DDR RAM and 4 GB in built memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB. It has 0.3 mega pixels front camera for video conferencing. The Wtab is available at Rs 9,500.
The Optima Vtab is also a 7-inch tablet powered by 1.5 GHz processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The tablet that also has SIM slot has 512 MB RAM and 512 MB internal memory. It supports external memory up to 32 GB. The tablet has 2 mega pixels rear camera and 0.2 mega pixels front camera. It costs Rs 14,500.
Besides these products, Optima Smart has 7 different models of smart phones in its product range. The gadgets from Optima Smart are priced in range of Rs 6,500 to Rs 30,000.
The company provides one year warranty and 4 GB memory card free on all its products.
