BIRGUNJ, March 25: An unidentified group shot dead a youth and injured another at Kummaltol in this eastern city on Wednesday night, according to police.
The group also detonated a few sutali (thread) bombs – a kind of improvised explosive device (IED).
Nepal FM, meanwhile, said that there were three blasts.
The deceased has not been identified yet.
No one has taken responsibility of the incident.

Meanwhile, police shot dead two unidentified individuals in connection with the blasts Wednesday. Police first chased the two then shot them based on information that they were planning to orchestrate serial blasts in Birgunj, Superintendent of Police Subodh Ghimire said.
