BIRENDRANAGAR, Aug. 8: A truck and a motorcycle collided on the Karnali Highway in Dailekh on Saturday, leaving a motorcycle rider seriously injured and bringing traffic along the key highway to a halt.
The accident occurred at around 11 am at Dungeshwar Bazar in Dungeshwor Rural Municipality-2 when a truck (Bhe 1 Kha 3710) heading toward Kalikot from Surkhet collided with a motorcycle (Bhe 14 Pa 6714) coming from the opposite direction.
One killed, two seriously injured in a motorcycle accident
The motorcycle rider, identified as around 40-year-old Prem Rokaya from Kailali, was seriously injured in the crash. His full address has not yet been established. Police said efforts were underway to rescue him.
The collision brought vehicular movement along the Karnali Highway to a standstill, with authorities working to clear the road and resume traffic.
The identity and other details of the truck driver have not yet been established.
Police at Dungeshwor, Dailekh, said further investigation into the accident was underway.
