MAKWANPUR, April 25: One person died after being run over by a tractor last night in the inner road section of Kailash Rural Municipality-10 Sadikhoriya.
According to DSP Laxmi Bhandari at District Police Office, Makwanpur, the deceased has been identified as Pradip Waiba, 35, of Kailash-10 Puranogaon.

DSP Bhandari said that Waiba, who was riding on the back of a tractor numbered (Bagmati Pradesh 03-001 Ta 0419), which was carrying an electric pole from Valtar to the old village, fell from the same tractor and was crushed by the rear wheel. According to him, the body of the deceased Pradeep has been brought to Hetauda Hospital for examination after the legal process.
The Makwanpur Police said that the police have detained the tractor and the tractor driver, Birman Syangtan, 33, resident of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-9 Bagmara, and are conducting necessary investigations into the incident.
