LAHAN, Feb 13: A person was killed after a school bus bumped into an auto rickshaw in Mirchaiya Municipality-5 along the East-West Highway on Wednesday.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Birendra Sah, 27, of Mirchaiya-2 who was on board the auto rickshaw. The school bus with registration number Na 4 Kha 4904 of Times School of Mirchaiya was heading toward the west when it hit the auto rickshaw (Na 3 Kha 3420) coming from the opposite direction.

Milan Singh Basnet, Inspector at the District Traffic Police Office (DTPO), Lahan informed Republica that Mukundadev Sah, 25, another passenger in the auto-rickshaw has been injured.
Birendra was rushed to a primary health center of the municipality. Police have kept the driver of the bus and the rickshaw under custody.
