The deceased has been identified as Teknath Poudel of Damak -10 of Jhapa, according to the District Police Office, Birtamod.
The accident occurred when the bus (Me. 1 Kha 1267) collided with a motorcycle ridden by Poudel at Charpane road-section of Jhapa along the East-West Highway at 7:00 am, said the traffic police.
The injured are Ram Nath Acharya of Damak-3, Tanka Barhakoti, Harimaya Barhakoti and Jay Prasad Dahal of Charpane-1, Man Bahadur Bishwakarma of Anarmani-1, Bhakti Nath Rimal of Budhabare-5, Kamal Khawas of Mrigauliya-4 of Morang and Pramod Niraula of Biratnagar-1, police said.
