One dies, seven injured in separate incidents

CHITWAN, July 21: A girl died of electrocution while using the water pumping motor at her home in Bharatpur-12 on Tuesday. The deceased, identified as 16-year-old Anjana Bogati, died on the way to hospital, police said.



Meanwhile, seven persons were injured in a vehicle accident in eastern Chitwan on Tuesday. The accident took place when a Katari-bound bus (Na 3 Kha 7138) from Kathmandu and a truck (Na 2 Kha 3287) heading to Kathmandu from Hetauda collided with each other.



Among the injured, an Indian girl Jyoti is in critical condition and is undergoing treatment at Medical College, Bharatpur. The other six are being treated in a local hospital, police said.



Police have impounded the bus and the truck and taken their drivers into custody.
