The deceased has been identified as Mahesh Maharjan, 25.[break]
The accident took place when a motorcycle (Ba 40 Pa 7898) heading towards Lainchaur from Lazimpat collided with a road divider.
Maharjan died while undergoing treatment at the Bir Hospital.
According to Police Inspector of the Metropolitan Police Sector, Durbarmarg, Krishna Prasad Koirala, investigation into the case is underway by questioning pillion rider, Amrit Shrestha.
