The helper, Dipak Sunar, 28, of Ratnagar Municipality-9 Chitwan was killed while the driver, Udip Bhandari, who also hails from the same place was injured in the mishap.
Bhandari is undergoing treatment at Tensen Mission Hospital in Palpa.
The mishap occurred when the truck (Na 1 Kha 8185) en route to Tamghas of Gulmi from Butwal fell down from the road due to brake failure, plice said.
Only three months ago, three persons were killed when the truck they were traveling on met with a similar accident.
