KATHMANDU, Oct 19: Police have arrested Gautam Ghising for assaulting police personnel and forcibly making them remove their uniforms during the Gen Z protest in Tinkune last month.
According to the Kathmandu Police Range, Ghising was identified and taken into custody after investigators reviewed video footage showing him attacking officers at the peak of the demonstrations.

A special team formed to investigate incidents that occurred during the Gen Z movement carried out the arrest. Police said Ghising is currently under investigation and remains in custody for further legal action.
Authorities have been analyzing multiple videos and eyewitness statements to identify individuals involved in violent clashes with security personnel during the two-day youth-led protests on September 8 and 9, which ultimately led to the fall of the elected government.
