During a meeting with Dahal on Sunday, Oli instead urged Dahal to support formation of a new government under UML leadership.
“I told him that his party´s leadership has failed and he should support UML´s leadership for next government,” Oli told myrepublica.com.
Oli said Dahal, however, insisted that the next government should be formed under his party´s leadership.
“I told him that he´d better stop exercising the meaningless effort because the Maoist leadership has already failed,” Oli said.
Dahal also sought the UML´s cooperation in his party´s stance against proceeding with the government formation process until President Dr Ram Baran Yadav sought apology for his move to block the Maoists´ bid to sack the Army Chief. “Maoists are running after nonsensical issue,” said Oli.
