Oli, UML leaders shelter in APF Camp, Barmajhiya over security reason

LAHAN, March 6:  After the death of a cadre of United Democratic Madheshi Front (UDMF) in Saptari,during the mass meeting of CPN-UML, as a part of Mechi-Mahakali Campaign, former Prime Minister and Chairman of the party KP Sharma Oli and other top leaders  have been shifted to Barmajhiya based Armed Police Force camp.

The leaders of the party were escorted with the high security to the camp after the situation went out of control in the program venue, Gajendra Narayan Singh Industrial Area as the agitating UDMF cadres tried to interrupt the mass meeting.

Top leaders including Madhav Kumar Nepal, Satyanarayan Mandal and Lal Babu Yadav amon g others were also escorted to the camp citing security reason, informed DIG Ramesh Bhattarai to Republica online.

Meanwhile, after the incident, the situation of the area is still in tension. UDMF cadres are obstructing the main roads of Lahan and the market is completely shut down.
