Oli-led faction of CPN-UML seeks clarification from 22 lawmakers casting vote in favor of PM Deuba

KATHMANDU, July 21: The KP Oli-led faction of the CPN-UML has asked 22 lawmakers casting vote in favor of Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba to submit clarifications.

KATHMANDU, July 21: The KP Oli-led faction of the CPN-UML has asked 22 lawmakers casting vote in favor of Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba to submit clarifications.


A total of 14 lawmakers close to senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and eight lawmakers close to Chairman Oli had voted in favor of Prime Minister Deuba as he sought a vote of confidence in parliament.

A Standing Committee meeting of the Oli-led UML sought clarifications from the 22 lawmakers as they chose to vote Deuba against the party’s official decision. The Standing Committee meeting of the Oli-led UML is currently underway.
