KATHMANDU, Dec 28: President of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC), Sher Bahadur Deuba has tagged the Oli-led government as “a terrorist government”.

“It’s now the responsibility of the Congress party to eliminate the terrorist activities of the Oli-led communist government,” said Dueba while he was addressing a protest assembly organized by the party’s Bhaktapur-2 committee.

The main opposition has launched a nationwide protest in all 165 electoral constituencies against the ‘unconstitutional’ dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on December 20.

“We will continue the protest against the unconstitutional and undemocratic move by the government,” said Deuba, adding that new programs will be launched after assessing Monday’s demonstration.

On the occasion, he said that his party is capable of protesting against the undemocratic step taken by the Oli-government and shared that they would not join any party to express their differences against the House dissolution. “Be ready to join the anti-government movement at any moment,” said Deuba while addressing his cadres.

“We will accept the verdict given by the court in this connection. However, we will keep protesting against the move until the court issues its verdict on the writs filed against the unconstitutional dissolution.”

Besides Deuba, other leaders of the party including a Central Committee member Rama Poudel, party’s district president Durlabh Thapa and Jiwan Khatri vented their ire against the prime minister.
