Oli asks Maoists to mend ways

BHAKTAPUR, April 23: CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli on Friday said the UML is ready for consensus government if the Maoists agree on concluding the peace process as well as constitution writing process.



Speaking at a press meet organized by press Chautari Nepal’s Bhaktapur branch, Oli felicitated newly office bearers of the press body and urged the Maoists to be honest to peace and constitution writing process. [break]



He said the Maoists are wanting a consensus for confrontation and the UML cannot agree on that kind of consensus. He said the political parties are ready to offer anything to the Maoists if the Maoists remain honest to peace and constitution writing process. Oli said the Maoists are trying to seize power.



Oli suggested the Maoists to first transform their party into a civilian party. He asked the Maoists not to dream of leading the government again. He said the Maoists have not shun their terrorist tactics.
