KATHMANDU, Feb 15: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has accused the ruling coalition of not getting ready for holding elections.
Holding a politburo meeting of the party on Wednesday, Oli briefed the meeting that conspiracies are being hatched to drag the country toward uncertainty by not implementing the constitution.
"If government fails to announce election dates within a couple of days, the constitutional obligation of holding elections by January 21, 2018 will not be met. The ruling coalition is not ready for elections and this could ultimately benefit extremists and separatist," UML Secretary Bhim Acharya quoted Oli as saying.
During the meeting, Chairman Oli presented a 10-page-long political dossier on current political situation, organizational activities of the party as well as plans and strategies the party should adopt.
