PM Oli undergoes dialysis for a second time



Co-chairman of Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal visited Grande International Hospital to take the stock of the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's health condition. The prime minister underwent dialysis at the hospital for a second time today.


Rape case filed against Former Speaker Mahara



District Attorney Office, Kathmandu registered a rape case against Former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara at the Kathmandu District Court on Thursday. The prosecutor has sought a five-year jail term for Mahara who has been accused of raping Roshani Shahi, an employee at the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

Chhath preparations underway in Terai



People in Terai districts are gearing up for Chhath celebration. They are busy not only in cleaning and decorating ponds, lakes and rivers, but also making ‘Ghats’ along the water sources near their settlements. People throng the Ghats to offer ‘Argha’ (curd) to the setting Sun God. This year, they are going to perform this ritual on Saturday evening. 


One dies in Krishnanagar when police open fire, indefinite curfew imposed



A person has died after police opened fire to control the situation as locals staged protest breaching the curfew order in Krishnanagar. The deceased has been identified as Suraj Pandey according to the chairperson of Shivaraj-7 Anup Kumar Pandey. 


PM Oli lauds Nirmal Purja



Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has congratulated Nirmal Purja for creating a new world record by scaling14 summits in just seven months. PM Oli took to Twitter to thank Purja for proving the hard-working nature of Nepalis throughout the world through his feat.


Fire engulfs Pakistani train after cooking accident; 64 dead



A fire swept through a Pakistani train on Thursday killing at least 64 people after a gas canister passengers were using to cook breakfast exploded, the minister for railways said.
