Number of traffic violators decreasing

KATHMANDU, July 25: Number of people violating traffic rules has decreased by half after the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division increased fine for the offenders.

KATHMANDU, July 25: Number of people violating traffic rules has decreased by half after the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division increased fine for the offenders.



Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of the Division, Rajendra Prasad Bhatta, said that with the increase in fine, number of drivers violating the traffic rules has decreased.

The Division has now increased fine to Rs 1,500 from Rs 500.



Action was taken against 86,097 drivers from April 13 to May 13 while 34,972 faced action from May 14 to June 14 and 42,625 from June 15 to July 15, according to the Division. RSS
