Rs 790 million collected from traffic violators in first six months of current FY

KATHMANDU,  Feb 7: Revenue worth Rs 797.1 million has been collected from traffic violators across the country in the first six months of the current Fiscal Year (FY).

KATHMANDU,  Feb 7: Revenue worth Rs 797.1 million has been collected from traffic violators across the country in the first six months of the current Fiscal Year (FY).


Over 1 million people who broke traffic rules were punished during this period.

The highest revenue collected was from Kathmandu Valley with Rs 322.2 million followed by Madhesh Province with Rs 100.5 million.


Revenue collected includes Rs 322.2 million from the Kathmandu Valley, Rs 78.7 million from the Koshi Province, Rs 100.5 million from Madhesh Province, Rs 70.8 million from Bagmati Province (except Kathmandu Valley), Rs 81.8 million from Gandaki Province, Rs 93.8 million from Lumbini Province, Rs 15.6 million from Karnali Province, and Rs 24.2 million from the Sudurpaschim Province.


According to Traffic Police, over 1.52 million vehicle drivers faced action during the period.
