Coordinator of Dang Plus, an NGO working against HIV/AIDS in the district, Prakash Nepali said HIV infection was detected in 278 people till the end of the fiscal year 2071/072 BS while 67 persons lost their lives as of now.
He said that the new cases of HIV infection has reduced but the number of people revealing their status of living with HIV/AIDS has gone up, thanks to gradual decrease in the social stigmas.
Currently, 207 persons including 100 women are living with HIV/AIDS in the district and 159 of them are receiving medicines. RSS
