NTUC's closed session to be started

CHITWAN, Aug 26: A closed session of the Fifth National General Convention of the Nepal Trade Union Congress (NTUC) is to be started from Monday afternoon. The General Convention is taking place in Ratnanagar of Chitwan.



There is a programme to present a progress report by General Secretary Achyut Raj Pandey and economic report by Treasurer Dhruba Chandra Gautam in the closed session. [break]



Election process for the new leadership is going to be started from today itself.Panels led by Khilanath Dahal and Pushkar Acharya are in election race for the new leadership.



Discussion on various issues including social security for all raised by the NTUC, rights of labourers to be guaranteed in constitution, representation of labourers in every policy-making levels of the state, among others, would be held in the General Convention. The General Convention would conclude on Tuesday.
