KATHMANDU, March 25: Nepal Telecom (NTC) has urged its customers to swiftly upgrade their landline telephone services from traditional copper wires to modern fiber technology. The NTC has announced the cessation of services reliant on copper wires effective March 31.

The Telecommunication Office of NTC in Balambu has issued directives for the upgrade of Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) services across its jurisdiction, emphasizing the migration to the Fiber to the Home (FTTH) technology.
The office has specifically notified customers in Thankot, Checkpost, Nepal Oil Corporation, Cable Car, Panighat, Banasthali, and Mahadevsthan to transition to fiber technology.
