The Sales Mission was a remarkable success, where among others, more than 72 tour operators and 5 travel media from South Korea observed Nepal´s tourism products and attractions, in a presentation cum interaction session, states a press release issued by the NTB on Thursday.

Nepali participants in the mission included Gokarna Golf Resort, Aerolina Travels and Tours, and Salmon Tours and Travel.

Addressing the Sales Mission, Nepali Ambassador to South Korea Kamal Prasad Koirala highlighted the specialties of Nepal´s tourist attractions and said that "Nepal could be an excellent filming destination for Koreans." South Korea is a market with high potential for Nepal. Besides the popular tourism spots, places like Lumbini and activities such as trekking and golfing could most appeal to South Koreans.

Around 18,000 South Koreans visited Nepal in 2008.
