KATHMANDU, March 20: Nepal Telecommunication Authority has decided to collect Rs 20 billion from Nepal Telecom (NTC), to renew its Mobile license for five years. The NTA board on Sunday reached the decision.
“Earlier, Nepal Telecom had paid Rs. 180 million to renew its license. However, now, we’ve made it clear that the company must pay the mentioned amount if it is to renew the license,” Sandip Adhikari, deputy director of Nepal Telecommunication Authority said.
“If Nepal Telecom’s renewal mount is to be reviewed, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology should say so,” he added.
Nepal Telelcom’s license expires on Baishak 2076.
