NT to sell prepaid SIM at TIA

KATHMANDU, Dec 11: International tourists visiting Nepal can now avail of Nepal Telecom´s (NT) GSM prepaid mobile phone SIM cards from Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA).



According to a press release issued by the Nepal Telecom, foreign visitors on their trip to Nepal can buy GSM prepaid SIM cards from Tribhuwan International Airport starting from December 13.



Nepal Telecom is introducing this service so that foreign visitors can benefit of telephone service during their stay in Nepal. Nepal Telecom is introducing this service in collaboration with Hotel Association Nepal.



With the introduction of this service, foreign tourists can get the SIM cards at the airport instantly after submitting Rs 1,135 along with the photocopy of the passport and a requisition form.



According to Nepal Telecom, through this service foreigners can get rid of the difficulties they have been facing while making telephone calls.
