NT opens new telephone exchange in Rupandehi

KATHMANDU, Oct 26: Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki on Wednesday inaugurated a new telephone exchange built by Nepal Telecom (NT) in Naharpur of Rupandehi.

KATHMANDU, Oct 26: Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki on Wednesday inaugurated a new telephone exchange built by Nepal Telecom (NT) in Naharpur of Rupandehi.



Issuing a press release, NT said that Minister Karki inaugurated the exchange by making a call to Chief Secretary Somlal Subedi from Rupandehi.



Speaking at the program, Kamini Rajbhandari, managing director of Nepal Telecom, said that company was working to rollout 4G service very soon.



The exchange has the capacity of 96 lines of which 64 are for voice telephony and remaining 32 for ADSL, the release added.
