NT internet WiMax service launched in far-west

DHANGADHI, March 1: Nepal Telecom has launched the broadband internet WiMAX service in the Far-Western Development Region, since Thursday.



Vishnu Subedi, justice at District Court, Kailali, inaugurated the NT WiMAX service amidst a function.



Speaking at the programme, NT Managing Director Amarnath Singh, expressed his commitment that the NT services would be made further effective and reliable in the days ahead.



Similarly, manager of the WiMAX internet programme, Subashchandra Shah claimed that the NT WiMAX internet service was the high-speed internet service in the country.



It has been launched as per the government´s policy of expanding the broadband internet service across the country. The NT WiMAX internet service is said to transfer data by at least 256 kbps.



During the programme, Shah said the NT has planned to distribute a total of 200,000 WiMAX lines across the country, currently.
