KATHMANDU, April 2: Coordinator of Naya Shakti Nepal (NSN) has been taken under control by the security personnel as the leaders representing five parties including him tried to enter the prohibited area near the Election Commission(EC) located at Kantipath , Kathmandu on Sunday morning.
Around 100 leaders representing five political parties registered with the EC have also been held along with Bhattarai by the security personnel, NSN central leader RK Dhungana told Republica Online.
UML, Maoist Center, Nayashakti to be unified
NSN and other four political parties registered with the EC have been staging sit-in at the Election Commission since the morning on Sunday to protest the provision of newly enacted Local Level Election Act, 2017.
Local Level Election Act, 2017. does not allow those political parties that do not have representation in the legislature Parliament to contest the upcoming local polls under an election symbol.
