NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista and NSA President Ashok Bajracharya signed the MoU to construct the 25X25 square meters heating system swimming pool just beside the main swimming pool of Satdobato.As per the agreement, the NSC will bear 80 percent costs of construction and the NSA will bear the remaining cost. Although, the cost of construction was not disclosed during the program, Republica has learnt that it will cost around Rs 100 to 110 million for it.
Speaking during the program, Sports Minister Purushottam Paudel vowed that he will try his best to fulfill his commitments even if he does not hold the post of minister. He was hinting at the latest development of Nepali politics.
NSC Member Secretary Bista claimed that he will soon introduce some plans that will encourage all sports fraternity. "We have not been able to introduce new plans since we were busy for the Seventh National Games," said Bista.
Nepal Olympic Committee's newly-appointed President Jeevan Ram Shrestha opined that Nepali players were not able to show their talents due to lack of proper facilities.
NSA President Bajracharya said that tournaments and trainings could be organized round the year once the construction will be over. According to Bajracharya, the foundation stone for the construction work will be laid by next week.
