NRN Norway elects Thapa as new chief

LONDON, June 11: The Non Resident Nepali (NRN)-Norway has formed a new executive committee under newly elected chairperson Sanjiv Thapa.

LONDON, June 11: The Non Resident Nepali (NRN)-Norway has formed a new executive committee under newly elected chairperson Sanjiv Thapa.


During the convention, Thapa garnered 90 votes where as his nearest competitor Nayan Malla scored 70 votes.

The committee has elected Shaligram Aryal as first vice chairperson, Surendra Syatre as second vice chairperson, Raju Aryal as secretary and Bina Newar Shrestha as new treasurer unopposed in the committee.


Likewise, Dr Sabita Maharjan and Nilkantha Aryal were elected unopposed as Women coordinator and Youth coordinator respectively. Similarly, Pradeep Adhikari, Bikash Dawadi, Anup Gupta, Pabitra Basnet and Bishnu Maya Basnet have been selected as executive member of the committee. Dwarika maharjan was elected as the representative of NRN Norway for ICC.


During the program, Coordinator of NRN Europe Kul Acharya congratulated and wished the newly elected members for successful tenure.
