NRB fixes foreign exchange rates for Thursday

Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for Thursday. According to the fixed rates, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is Rs 136.74, and the selling rate is Rs 137.34.

KATHMANDU, Jan 2: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for Thursday. According to the fixed rates, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is Rs 136.74, and the selling rate is Rs 137.34.


The buying and selling rates for 1 euro are Rs 141.35 and Rs 142.15, respectively. Similarly, 1 UK pound sterling has a buying rate of Rs 171.25 and a selling rate of Rs 172.00, while 1 Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 150.70 and a selling rate of Rs 151.36.


The rates for 1 Australian dollar are Rs 84.62 for buying and Rs 84.99 for selling. For 1 Canadian dollar, the buying rate is Rs 95.07, and the selling rate is Rs 95.49. The buying and selling rates for 1 Singapore dollar are Rs 100.16 and Rs 100.60, respectively.

For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is Rs 8.72, and the selling rate is Rs 8.76. Similarly, 1 Chinese yuan has a buying rate of Rs 18.73 and a selling rate of Rs 18.81. The buying rate for 1 Saudi Arabian riyal is Rs 36.40, and the selling rate is Rs 36.56. Likewise, 1 Qatari riyal has a buying rate of Rs 37.51 and a selling rate of Rs 37.67.


According to the central bank, the buying rate for 1 Thai baht is Rs 3.99, and the selling rate is Rs 4.00. For 1 UAE dirham, the buying rate is Rs 37.23, and the selling rate is Rs 37.39. The rates for 1 Malaysian ringgit are Rs 30.58 and Rs 30.71 for buying and selling, respectively.


The rates for 100 South Korean won are Rs 9.25 for buying and Rs 9.29 for selling, while 1 Swedish krona has a buying rate of Rs 12.35 and a selling rate of Rs 12.40. The buying rate for 1 Danish krone is Rs 18.99, and the selling rate is Rs 19.07.


For 1 Hong Kong dollar, the buying rate is Rs 17.60, and the selling rate is Rs 17.68. The buying rate for 1 Kuwaiti dinar is Rs 443.60, and the selling rate is Rs 445.55. Similarly, 1 Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 362.72 and a selling rate of Rs 364.31, while 1 Omani rial has a buying rate of Rs 355.63 and a selling rate of Rs 357.19.


Additionally, 100 Indian rupees are priced at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.


Nepal Rastra Bank has said that these rates can be revised at any time as necessary. It also stated that the exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ and that updated rates are available on the central bank's website.
