KATHMANDU, Jan 12: Nepal Rastra Bank has determined the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the rates, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at Rs 137.25, while the selling rate is Rs 137.85.
For one euro, the buying rate is Rs 141.40, and the selling rate is Rs 141.02. The buying rate for one UK pound sterling is Rs 168.74, while the selling rate is Rs 169.48. Similarly, the buying rate for one Swiss franc is Rs 150.16, and the selling rate is Rs 150.82.
The buying rate for one Australian dollar is Rs 84.95, while the selling rate is Rs 85.32. For one Canadian dollar, the buying rate is Rs 95.29, and the selling rate is Rs 95.71. The buying rate for one Singapore dollar is Rs 100.34, while the selling rate is Rs 100.77.
Revised interest rate corridor system introduced
For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is Rs 8.68, and the selling rate is Rs 8.72. The buying rate for one Chinese yuan is Rs 18.72, and the selling rate is Rs 18.80. Similarly, the buying rate for one Saudi Arabian riyal is Rs 36.56, while the selling rate is Rs 36.72, and for one Qatari riyal, the buying rate is Rs 37.65, and the selling rate is Rs 37.81.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 3.97, and the selling rate is Rs 3.99. For one UAE dirham, the buying rate is Rs 37.37, while the selling rate is Rs 37.53. The buying rate for one Malaysian ringgit is Rs 30.52, and the selling rate is Rs 30.66. For 100 South Korean won, the buying rate is Rs 9.35, and the selling rate is Rs 9.39. The buying rate for one Swedish krona is Rs 12.31, and the selling rate is Rs 12.36. For one Danish krone, the buying rate is Rs 18.95, and the selling rate is Rs 19.03.
The buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 17.63, and the selling rate is Rs 17.71. For one Kuwaiti dinar, the buying rate is Rs 444.99, and the selling rate is Rs 446.93. The buying rate for one Bahraini dinar is Rs 364.08, and the selling rate is Rs 365.67. The buying rate for one Omani rial is Rs 356.52, while the selling rate is Rs 358.08.
For 100 Indian rupees, the buying rate is Rs 160, and the selling rate is Rs 160.15.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates may be revised at any time as required. It has also clarified that commercial banks may set different exchange rates, and the updated rates are available on the central bank's website.
