KATHMANDU, May 9: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has launched a mobile application 'Surakshit Ghar' with a view to provide necessary information related safe reconstruction post disaster.
NRA's Chief Executive Officer Govinda Pokharel launched the app at NRA's office in Singha Durbar amidst a function on Tuesday.
The app was developed by an international non-profit organization Build Change. The application contains NRA's messages along with images, illustrations, audio clips and videos on safe reconstruction.
CEO Pokharel said that the app has information and communication tools related to post-disaster works.
“The app is all about the communication between quake victims and government bodies,” he said.
Build Change's Nepal representative Noll Tufani said that the app provides technical assistance to victims on how to rebuild their houses safely.
