KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Janakpur Bolts have registered a thrilling victory over Karnali Yaks to compete against Sudurpaschim Royals for the title in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
After defeating Karnali Yaks by 2 wickets in the second qualifier, Janakpur Bolts have come close to the title, with only the final match standing between them and the trophy. And in this match the Bolts are set to face the Royals.

After losing to Sudurpaschim in the first qualifier, Janakpur played the second qualifier. Karnali, on the other hand, had defeated Chitwan Rhinos in the eliminator. The final will be held on Saturday at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
Karnali set a target of 119 runs, which Janakpur successfully chased down in 19 overs, losing 8 wickets. James Neesham played a key role in the victory, scoring the highest 45 runs off 17 balls, hitting 5 sixes and 2 fours. Harsh Thaker contributed 17 runs from 26 balls, while Aakash Tripathi made 13 runs. Other batsmen were unable to score double-digit.
Earlier Karnali, who batted first, managed to score 118 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Gulshan Jha scored 25 runs and Dev Khanal added 24 runs for Karnali.
For Janakpur Bolts, Lalit Rajbanshi, James Neesham and Mohammad Mohsin claimed 2 wickets and Sher Malla took 1.
