A team from Boeing was at Stockholm´s Arlanda international airport to assess why a light indicator connected to the brake system was lit, Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen, a spokesman for Norwegian Air Shuttle, said on Thursday.[break]
The 787 was intended to fly from Stockholm to Bangkok and then New York.
"We are aware of the situation with Norwegian and are working with our customer to get the plane back into service," Fiona O´Farrell, a spokeswoman for Boeing said in an email to AFP.
The Dreamliner has suffered a series of problems since coming into service in October 2011, including the grounding of the global fleet of 787s for around four months earlier this year over battery system problems.
The grounded plane, the second Dreamliner delivered to Norwegian, arrived 10 days ago and had yet to be used for any commercial flights, Sandaker-Nielsen said.
"This is not related to the aircraft´s past problems. It could happen to any sort of airplane, and happens now and then," he said.
Norwegian has ordered eight Dreamliners from the US manufacturer, deliveries of which have been delayed.
The company has chartered an Airbus A340 to replace the Boeing while it remains grounded.
