Singapore Airlines introduces Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner for Dashain and Tihar flights to Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Sept 29: Singapore Airlines (SIA) is set to operate two out of seven weekly flights between Singapore and Kathmandu using its Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner during the upcoming festive seasons of Dashain and Tihar this year.

KATHMANDU, Sept 29: Singapore Airlines (SIA) is set to operate two out of seven weekly flights between Singapore and Kathmandu using its Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner during the upcoming festive seasons of Dashain and Tihar this year.


According to a press release issued by the company, this move aims to expand the airline's capacity and cater to the increased customer demand during this peak travel period from October to November. The Boeing 787-10 is renowned for its exceptional passenger experience, equipped with SIA’s award-winning KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system, in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity, fully-flat beds, and direct aisle access for all Business Class travelers. Economy Class passengers will also benefit from ergonomically-designed seats that enhance comfort, the airliner said.

According to the airlines, Nepalis residing overseas will have the opportunity to return home to celebrate Dashain and Tihar with their families, while those in Nepal can take advantage of this period for international travel. 


The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, known for being the largest aircraft by seat capacity operating at Tribhuvan International Airport, boasts a total of 337 seats—36 in Business Class and 301 in Economy Class.
