Nomination of two candidates in Saptari canceled

RAJBIRAJ, Oct. 8: The District Election Office, Saptari, has cancelled nominations of two candidates, who filed their candidacies towards the first-past-the-post election for the upcoming election to the Constituent Assembly (CA). [break]



District Election Officer, Pradeep Kumar Sah, said that their nomination was canceled for under age for candidacy and proposer and supporter were not of the concerned area.



Nomination of Santosh Kumar Yadav, 32, of Pharseth VDC-3, who filed his candidacy from the Akhanda Nepal Party from Saptari-2, and Amarendra Kumar Yadav, 24, of Malhaniya VDC-1, who filed his nomination from Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) from Constituency No. 5, was cancelled.



Election Officer Shah said that nomination of Santosh was cancelled as his proposer and supporter were not from the concerned constituency and Amarendra due to under age. RSS
