NOC to sell cooking gas from seven more locations today

The corporation said LPG imports are continuing regularly and urged dealers to maintain regular sales to ease distribution. Consumers who are unable to obtain gas from regular outlets can purchase it from the designated centres by showing their citizenship certificate or national identity card. The centres will sell gas from 11 am to 5 pm.

KATHMANDU, Aug 16: Nepal Oil Corporation is preparing to sell LPG gas from seven additional locations in the Kathmandu Valley today, Sunday, for consumers facing urgent needs.



According to the corporation, gas will be sold from the Teku premises, the Animal Services Branch in Chapali, Budhanilkantha, and the Radhaswami premises in Kirtipur. At the Teku premises, Nepal, HP, Everest, Sugam, Shriram and Sagar brands will be available. The Animal Services Branch in Chapali will sell Nepal, HP and Bhanu brands. Meanwhile, Nepal, HP, Everest, Shree Krishna, Sai Baba and Shreemaya brands will be distributed from the Radhaswami premises in Kirtipur.


Gas will also be distributed from the New Bazaar Judo Hall premises, Tarkeshwar Municipality premises, Chandragiri Municipality office and the National Tuberculosis Centre in Thimi.

Nepal, HP and Om brands will be available at the New Bazaar Judo Hall premises, while Nepal and HP brands will be sold from the Tarkeshwar Municipality premises. The Chandragiri Municipality office will distribute Popular, Nepal, HP and Shreemaya brands. At the National Tuberculosis Centre in Thimi, Nepal, HP, Surya, Sagar, Everest, Sugam and STC brands will be available.

On Saturday, the corporation distributed 6,802 LPG cylinders of various brands to consumers with urgent needs in the Kathmandu Valley. Gas was distributed from sales centres at the Teku premises, the Transport Office in Chabahil, Radhaswami premises in Kirtipur, Radhaswami premises in Basundhara and the premises of the former District Administration Office in Babarmahal.


The corporation said some brands ran short of cylinders during the distribution. Consumers who arrived at the sales centres on time were therefore given priority for receiving gas through coupons today.
