NOC slashes prices of petroleum products

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has slashed the prices of diesel, petrol and kerosene by Rs 3 per liter.

Issuing a statement on Friday evening, the state-owned oil monopoly said that the new prices will come into effect from December 16.

As per the revised list, petrol will cost Rs 167 per liter in the Kathmandu valley while the price has been fixed at Rs 164 per liter in border areas. Likewise, diesel and kerosene will now cost Rs 157 per liter each in the valley while their price has been determined at Rs 154 per liter in border areas.

The price of liquefied petroleum gas remains unchanged.

The NOC said that it reduced the prices of petroleum products after receiving the new price list from the Indian Oil Corporation, the sole supplier to the state-owned company of Nepal.
