NOC increases fare of tankers carrying petroleum products

KATHMANDU, Dec 18: Nepal Oil Corporation Limited (NOC) has increased the fare of tankers carrying petroleum products.

According to a decision of the NOC management on December 16, the fare of petroleum tankers has been increased according to the scientific fare formula  from December 17. According to Binit Mani Upadhyaya, spokesperson for NOC, the price has increased up to 10 percent according to the price adjustment study done by the corporation two years ago.


Spokesperson Upadhyay also informed Republica that the fare had increased by a minimum of Rs 382.18 for a distance of up to 15 km. According to him, tankers transporting fuel to 36 destinations across the country both internally and externally get the current increased fare from the corporation. It is said that the increase in fare up to 10 percent will increase the expenses of the corporation by around Rs 80 crores.
