KATHMANDU, Feb 1: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the state-owned oil monopoly, has hiked the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs 25.

According to Bhanu Bhakta Khanal, spokesperson for the NOC, the decision on price-hike will be effective from Thursday.

With the decision, the cost of LPG per cylinder has reached Rs 1,350 from Rs 1,325.

According to Khanal the NOC is still at a loss of Rs 162 per cylinder of gas even after hiking the price.

The NOC has not yet hiked the price of diesel, petrol and kerosene even though it has said that the state-owned monopoly is selling these petroleum products at a loss.
