Nobel chair seeks KU intervention

BIRATNAGAR, Oct 31: Chairman of Nobel Medical College Dr Gyanendraman Sigh Karki on Saturday urged the Kathmandu University (KU) to intervene in the promoters´ dispute that has affected the college.



Issuing a press statement, Dr Karki, who is in a financial dispute with his equal-stake partner Sunil Sharma, asked the KU -- with which the college is affiliated -- to safeguard the future of 253 students enrolled in Nobel Medical College.



The dispute arose after Sharma deposited Rs 140 million collected from admission of 70 students in the last academic session in his personal account.
