DHANGADI, Nov 13: The Salt Trading Corporation has refuted the rumor that the Far Western Development region was witnessing the shortage of salt.
The regional office chief Keshav Prasad Pandey has said that the STC has salt in stock for the next seven months in the depots required for the region. Hence, news related to its shortage was just a baseless.

The corporation has been providing salt packet at nine rupees per packet at Kolti, Kawadi, Maurya of Bajura, Talkot, Chainpur and Bagthala of Bajhang, Gokuleshwar of Darchula and Kamal Bazaar of Achham districts.
The salt is being provided at the subsidized price under the goiter control program.RSS
