Salt Trading Corporation hikes salt prices

KATHMANDU, July 2: Salt Trading Corporation Limited has increased the price of salt.


The company, in a statement on Tuesday, said that the price of salt, which is being sold and distributed by the corporation, has been adjusted effective from midnight Tuesday.

According to the adjusted price, the price of a kilo packet of iodized salt has been increased from Rs 23 to Rs 26.


While the price of New Shakti salt has been increased from Rs 17 per kg to Rs 20 per kg, the price of one kilo of Bhanu salt has been fixed at Rs 9.
