No scissoring service in Taplejung

TAPLEJUNG, Aug 5: Maternity scissoring service has come to an end at Taplejung District Hospital for the past four months. The service has come to a halt since mid-July of 2012 after the budget allocated for the fiscal year (2011-12) was completely exhausted, said in-charge of District Hospital, Dr Surya Bahadur Gurung, Sunday.



 With the closure of service in the district hospital, pregnant women here have to be taken to health facilities in other districts for surgical. ´At least five cases of scissoring were referred to the hospitals outside the district in Shrawan due to short of budget. Attendants of the patients often complain that they have no money to go outside the district for treatment, said Dr Gurung.
